WARRIOR of TRUTHJacqueline Lovely Perras – lyrics and synopsis

The first song on the album, 'King of the World', provides an overview of the Warrior of Truth Trilogy. It introduces the theme of Trilogy, and provides a glimpse into the life of singer/orator, Jacqueline Lovely Perras.

SONG 1 -

King of the World is a song about learning that success comes when we recognize we are more than just one person alone and trying to get by in the world. It is about learning that we are connected to a higher power and to everyone around us, through love and action.

Surrendering ourself to God's will and embracing his love and forgiveness, are all you need to have an edge in this world.

It is about understanding that through the atonement of Jesus Christ, all forgiveness and immortality is possible.

He is, after all, the King of the World.

KING OF THE WORLD c.2015

Songwriters: J.L. Perras, S. Wisotzky, M. Fasano, B. Hamilton, J. Parker
Lyrics: Jacqueline Lovely Perras

Some said that I would be
the King of the World.
Some said I would lead everybody,
They would follow me wherever I go.

I was the one who talked in school.
I was the one who broke your rules.
But I've learned to apologize,
Now that I've seen my father's eyes

I'm your, King of the World
I'm your, King of the World
It's time to follow me,
‘Cause I know how to lead.

I'm your, King of the World
I'm your, King of the World
It's time to follow me,
‘Cause I know how to lead.

I grew up in poverty,
But not the kind your eyes can see.
In the dark, I cried alone,
In a house that was no home.

Rock stars, Kings and Queens -
Danced with me inside my dreams.
In the backstage putrid sea,
I was blessed with lucidity.

I'm your, King of the World
I'm your, King of the World
From the shadows I will rise,
A warrior to reveal the lies.

King of the World
I'm your, King of the World
It's time to recognize,
That I have my father's eyes.

He's the light that shines on me,
When all the world is dark.
I'll testify of all that's true,
'Cause he lives within my heart.
Rescued from the ring of fire,
I'm here to heed my call.

I know I don't fit your mold,
But my age is perfect, it was for told.
I struggled hard and paid the cost,
I turned to drugs when all was lost.

Then to the music I was called,
With a voice to break the stall.
Amidst the filth and pounding walls,
On my knees, I risk it all.

He's your, King of the World
He's your, King of the World
Follow Jesus just like me,
You'll be beside him wait and see.....

He's your, King of the World
He's your, King of the World
If you pray to know the truth,
He'll answer you and you'll know too.

He's your, King of the World
He's your, King of the World
He's your, King of the World
King of the World
King of the World
King of the World....(king of the world)

I'll testify that you're the one.
Christ the Savior and God's son.

King of the World (king of the world)
He's your, King of the World (king of the
world)

God is with me, I cannot fail
His will be done,
Love will prevail.

Song 2 –

Feeling complete disconnection and emptiness is rock bottom.

This song is about getting everything you want, and then upon achieving it, you feel nothing; no joy, no love.

When the bottom happens, that is the time you either give up or start to reflect and re-build. There are no drums in this song, because for me there is no foundation when I am empty. When you stray so far off the path that all you see is darkness, that is when you feel the crash. Hope is lost.

I Feel (the Crash) c.2012

Songwriters: J.L. Perras, W. Oulster

I feel, nothing at all

Head on the floor

Back to the Wall

I can’t connect

No beauty inside

Sun’s going down

No tears in my eyes.

I thought I almost had it.

It doesn’t matter anymore

I’ve never felt this way before

Like my world is falling down

And I don’t have a friend around

How can I be so niave

After everything I’ve seen

It doesn’t matter anymore

I’ve never felt this way before

When the walls come down,

I’ll be falling

When the walls come down.

I feel, nothing at all.

Head on the floor

Back to the Wall

I can’t connect

No beauty inside

Sun’s going down

No tears in my eyes.

I thought I almost had it.

It doesn’t matter anymore

I’ve never felt this way before

Like my world is falling down

And I don’t have a friend around

How can I be so niave

After everything I’ve seen

It doesn’t matter anymore

I’ve never felt this way before

Oh Oh…Oh Oh Oh…

I feel, nothing at all

Head on the floor

Back to the Wall

It doesn’t matter anymore

I’ve never felt this way before

Like my world is falling down

And I don’t have a friend around

How can I be so naive

After everything I’ve seen

It doesn’t matter anymore

I’ve never felt this way before

Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh

I feel Nothing at all

Head on the floor

Back to the wall

I can’t connect

No beauty inside

Sun’s going down

No tears in my eyes.

Song 3 –.

When you live in the memories of childhood trauma and terror, you can feel damaged and alone.

You may think you will never be good enough to be loved by a good person.

Realizing that you can be different, that what was done to you, is not who you must be, you begin to question everything, and when questions begin, growth is possible.

Once you see that experiencing love is a choice, and the hurt that chained you down is no longer your only option, your eyes can open to possibility and freedom from shame and guilt.

In that possibility, you struggle to free your soul.

But in that possibility, there is also the chance for true love.

Unchained c.1991, 2013

Songwriter, J.L. Perras

Another tear runs down my face, tonight

I’m searching for that love, out of mind, out of sight.

I’ve got no choice inside,

Forever held in pain

A prisoner in the jail

Of an ego with no shame

Surrender…..oh…

Your love it captured me and held me in its arms

And knowing it was right, the universe was ours

But now I’ve lost my mind

To hell I cannot go

I’m trapped between two worlds

Trapped between above and below

I’m chained in time,

A cold and lonely heart

I’m chained, I’m lost

A prisoner of your love

Just one kiss from me and devils got your soul

I’m chained, I’m chained

Help me, Help me, Help me Ahhhhhhh…

I sit and wait outside that window by my door,

I see a guy walk by,

That I’ve never seen before.

Just one look from him,

Something in his eyes

Awakes a fear in me,

Takes me by surprise.

I’m chained in time

A cold and lonely heart

I’m chained, I’m lost

A prisoner of your love.

Just one kiss from me and the devils got your soul,

Unchained, Unchained, Unchained

I loose control…No No NO!

You know there is always someone out there baby,

Always on your back

His eyes they burn with fire

And there’s no turning back for you

There’s no escape.

You’ve got the choice

You can listen to his rhymes

You give lies their meaning

Oh my God, I see how love is blind. Oh oh…..

Unchained

Unchained

Unchained

Unchain my heart….oh oh…

Release me baby,

Set me free.

Song 4 –

There are many struggles on the road to salvation.

When you have lived a life that is not perfect, that has been stained by abuse and pain, coming into the light is not easy.

You want to be truthful about who you are, but how can all that pain and sadness be turned into something good?

As you work to share your history with others for validation, you struggle with all the issues those memories bring up. Can you trust your saddest secrets to someone who promises to keep them safe? And what if they tell others…

Well friends, That’s How it Goes…in redemption, sometimes you have to take risks.

But the greater the risk, the sweeter the blessing.

Harlot of Babylon (thats How it Goes) c.2013

Songwriters: J.L. Perras, C. Chiarelli

Nobody sees all the raindrops

No one remembered my name

But there’s a bright light in the darkness,

That blots out the wealth and the fame.

I’m seeing signs all around me

The man with the past has for told

And colours are bright in your daydreams

So merrily secrets unfold.

Nobody saw me in trouble

They’re all believing the lies

My father he wasn’t a preacher,

His legacy rests on my thighs

Lay down and keep my teacup warm.

I just remember the bright lights,

I don’t remember your name.

If you have a secret to tell me

The rabbit will unlock your game.

Can’t we just all live together?

There’s beauty alive in the past.

And truth’s in the love all around me

I’m feeling the freedom at last.

Nobody saw me in trouble

Turns out there’s truth in those lies

I’ll tell my secrets to heal you

My legacy seen through your eyes

Hush now, I can’t hide all those lies

Right at your back,

Feel the attack

Scream when it goes

Nobody knows

I’ve got a secret life,

With a fairy tale wife

He takes all my promises,

That’s how it goes.

That’s how it goes.

That’s how it goes….oh oh oh oh oh…OH OH

Right at your back

Feel the attack

Scream when it goes

Nobody knows

I’ve got a secret life,

With a fairy tale wife

He takes all my promises,

That’s how it goes.

That’s how it goes.

That’s how it goes.

Song 5 –

Holding on to shame and guilt is never healthy.

To be truly free, you must forgive, and use the knowledge you’ve learned to help others.

In sharing hard truths, we build connections and help others struggling in silence, to tell their stories and be free.

Knowing you are not alone, is key to healing from childhood abuses.

Forgiveness heals the forgiver.

Daddy c.2016

Songwriter: Jacqueline Lovely Perras

Lyrics: Jacqueline Lovely Perras

You'd lock me in the closet,

But I'd wake with the dawn.

I smell the breakfast coffee,

I hear the TV on.

You took away my innocence

When you caressed my life

My head's all twisted crazy,

I may never be a wife.

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me

But still I love you, so oh oh

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me,

But that was such a long, long. time ago

And I worked in that diner,

I watched the people eat and pay.

They didn't see the pain behind my smile,

Or all the pain I felt.

It took me 40 years

To go back to the place where I began,

You left me age 17,

And now you're not here, holding my hand.

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me

But still I love you, so oh oh

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me,

But that was such a long time ago

I am just a little broken,

But love has taught me, that won't last.

I give all me pain away,

I've told my story, I'm free at last.

Daddy, Oh Daddy

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me

But still I love you, so oh oh

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me

Daddy, you hurt me,

But I forgive you now, like Jesus did.

Song 6 –

Evil is real.

The best way to stop abuse, is to talk openly and encourage others to do the same.

As we break the silence and stigma of childhood abuses, those who commit these atrocities become easier to catch.

God knows everything; he sees all, but still men have their agency.

We must come together to reveal these bad people who are doing bad things. The more we share ours stories, the easier they are to identify.

God will judge those who do evil for evil's sake, that isn’t for us - our responsibility is to help each other heal, and clean up the world and all the hate by loving, forgiving and growing stronger together.

PREDATOR c.2017

Songwriters: J. L. Perras, P. Swann

Lyrics: Jacqueline Lovely Perras

Far away in the crystal-eyed world,

There is a land of silk and steel.

They paint the children’s faces black and blue,

It’s just another broken swing set to you.

Oh Predator, Oh Predator

I see your face

I know your taste

Your life is such a damn disgrace.

Predator, Oh Predator

I see your face

I know your taste

Your life is such a damn disgrace.

Caught between the pizza and world,

I know your legion and his name is unfurled.

You had me cornered,

But light I can see;

Give me that taste of happiness,

I long to be relieved.

I see you Predator, Oh Predator

I see your face

I know your taste

Your lies are such a damn disgrace.

Predator, Oh Predator

You’ve been in darkness way too long,

Now I reveal you,

In this song. (in this song)

Caught between the pizza and world,

I see your face Demon and your truth is unfurled.

There’s no more corners,

And I’m in the light;

I’ve had a taste of happiness,

I know that I am right.

Predator,

I see you

You Predator

I reveal you now,

You Predator, Oh Predator

God is the only one that true,

Watch out as he comes after you.

Predator, Oh Predator

I see your face

I know your taste

Your life is such a damn disgrace.

Oh Predator

I see you,

Predator

Predator

Predator

Predator

Predator,

I reveal you in this song.

Song 7 –

Many people watch the lives of others through the lens of social media, thinking they know everything, when all they know is what they piece together.

When the truth of a person’s life is revealed, we often see that we didn’t know them at all.

God is the only judge. When we gossip, and make up stories based on a few pictures or something we heard, the results can be very harmful.

If you aren’t in someone’s life, in their real life, not their online life; face to face with them, talking and asking questions, it is wrong to make assumptions.

Gossip is a tool of evil. It is cruel to make up stories and spread those stories to others as fact.

Gossip can ruin a person’s life.

We must not gossip, and if we have, we must ask for forgiveness and do our best not to continue this vile behavior.

I will not be silent. I will say what I have learned and I will speak up for what I feel is right....so,

How Do You Like Me Now? c.2015

Songwriters: J. L. Perras, S. Wisotzky, J. O'Connor, M. Fasano, C. Luciani

Lyrics: Jacqueline Lovely Perras

How do you like me now?
How do you like me now, now, now?
How do you like me now?
How do you like me now, now, now?
I worked, I cared, I opened up my heart.
When did the finger pointing really start?
You look and see what isn’t there.
Spinning gossip poisoning the air.

How do you like me now?
How do you like me now, now, now?
How do you like me now?
How do you like me now, now, now?

You people sit in all those chairs
Got no idea what’s going on out there
I wasn’t forced to suck your spoon.
But I was raised, now look this is my truth.

How do you like me now?
How do you like me now, now, now?
How do you like me now?
How do you like me now, now, now?

The lies you tell are for your glory
But you don’t know the whole damn story
You’re trapped inside your social prison
Will you repent before he’s risin’ – baby.

The lies you tell are for your glory
But you don’t know the whole damn story.
You’re trapped inside your social prison
Will you repent before he’s risin' – baby

How do you like me now?
How do you like me now, now?
How do you like me now?
How do you like me now, now?
How do you like me now?
How do you like me now, now? How do you like me now?
How do you like me now?

Song 8 –

People are always trying to make sense of the Book of Revelations. There are so many metaphors, that truly the key to understanding this great book, lies only with God.

Many events laid out preciously in this great book, tell of the final days and of the second coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

But when Jesus walked the earth, he showed us many great wonders, and still many did not believe.

Imagine if we all just excersized our faith to its most obiediant degree. What truths would be testified to us?

Jesus IS your powerhouse, and YOU, are your own powerhouse.

Within each of us there is the ability to love, actualize and make all our dreams come true. God rejoices when we succeed.

When you believe in him, and believe in yourself, everything IS possible.

Powerhouse c.2013

Songwriters: J. L. Perras, C. Chiarelli

Lyrics: Jacqueline Lovely Perras

He's your powerhouse baby.

No one agrees she is woman
And so I posit this
If she were a woman, who would she be
A destroyer?
A harlot your soul likes to kiss?

I laugh at this visual ruse
A great woman comes here
To light up the clues
He said love thy neighbor
and then raised his head
No lessons were learned there
All the love is in you
You know what to do

He's a Powerhouse
You're a Powerhouse
I'm a Powerhouse
Believe and it's true
All the power is in you.

Moments of yesterday
Forgotten in time
Yielding your cross
Now I live
Choose a new path
And all love will be yours
One touch of his hand
Healed every man
He said love thy neighbor
and then raised his head
No lessons were learned there
All the love is in you
You know what to do

He's a Powerhouse
You're a Powerhouse
I'm a Powerhouse
Believe and it's true
All the power is in you.

He said love thy neighbor and then raised his -
He said love thy neighbor and then raised his - head

He's a Powerhouse Baby
Everything you dream can be real
The Power is in you.

He's a Powerhouse
You're a Powerhouse
I'm a Powerhouse
Believe and it's true
All the power is in you.

He said love thy neighbor and then raised his
He said love thy neighbor and then raised his

The love is in you
The love is in you
The love is in you
The love is in you.
